Jeff started his playing career in 1985 with a local Connecticut band called the Happy Harmony Boys. They specialized in honky style music. In 1987 and 1988, Jeff started touring with the Polka Family Band as well as intermittently with the Dick Pillar Orchestra and the Polka Shamrocks.
In the fall of 1989, Jeff joined The Boys. After The Boys disbanded at the end of 1990, Jeff joined the Polka Country Musicians. In 1992, he teamed up with Jackie Libera and the rest of The Classix and toured until March of 1994.
In March of 1994, Jeff moved to the Midwest and joined Eddie Blazonczyk’s Versatones, until the end of 1996.
In 1999-2000, Jeff did some work with Frank Borzymowski and Rhythm and Sound.
In 2011, The Boys re-grouped and toured the United States until their final gigs on the 2024 Brews Cruise.
Jeff is looking forward to continuing to perform with this special group of musicians in Blue Magic!!!!

In 2022, Jeff teamed up with good friend and fellow promoter, Michael Pucowski, to form the polka promotion team, PucoYashu. In addition to two successful New Year’s Extravaganzas in Independence, OH, PucoYashu has run several polka dances, and plan to continue to promote polkas in their own, unique way. This past year, Mike Matousek handed over Polkamotion by the Ocean to the PucoYashu team. This has been traditionally one of the most popular polka festivals to close out the polka summer, drawing in polka fans from all around the country. PucoYashu hopes you can join us at Polkamotion by the Ocean in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware as we have dates scheduled through 2030.

Jeff’s family genealogy is from Poland and Czechoslovakia. Here is his bio in both languages.
